I made a deal on this wine because of the older vintage, and I have to tell you that you are in for a very interesting wine, and I mean interesting in a good way. Because of the age on the wine the fruit has become quite concentrated. This has notes of raspberry liquor with black licorice. The flavors are intense but they are not too ripe. The tannins still have some grip on them and the finish is pleasant and lingers. This wine has about another year left in it so it is a "drink now" wine. Normally this wine goes for close to twenty dollars, so ten bucks is a ridunculous deal. I got a few cases for the store so don't miss out on this one.
